Miller Machine and Welding has been proudly serving Knox County
and the surrounding areas for over 40 years.  The following is a
condensed timeline of events:

  • 1967 - While Rick Miller was attending Vincennes Lincoln
    High School, he began working at Prullage Machine Shop.
  • 1969 - After graduating, Rick joined the United States Army,
    where he proudly served his country as a surveyor.
  • 1972 - After returning home after nearly three years in the
    Army, Rick worked part-time at Prullage Machine Shop while
    attending Vincennes University and studying pre-engineering.
  • 1974 - On June 1, 1974, Rick purchased Prullage Machine
    Shop from Dick Baldwin.
  • 1977 - While learning the business, Rick had the great idea
    to hire his best friend, Fritz Willis.
  • 1979 - Rick moved to the current location at 406 South 15th
    Street and renamed the business Miller Machine and Welding.
  • 1999 - As the business continually grew and changed over
    the years of providing quality and dependable service, Miller
    Machine and Welding outgrew the original space and added
    on a 4500 sq.ft. welding shop.
  • 2001 - Rick's wife Patricia joined Miller Machine to help out
    with the administrative side of the business.
  • 2005 - Purchased first CNC machine.
  • 2006 - As time went on, it was found that there was a need
    for a larger machine shop to provide the exceptional quality
    products our customers demanded, so a new 3000 sq.ft.
    machine shop was added.
  • 2007 - First new CNC lathe was purchased.
  • 2009 - Second CNC mill was added.
  • 2012 - Two new CNC lathes were added.
  • 2013 - A third CNC mill, with 60" of travel, was purchased.
  • 2015 - Expanded and relocated to a 25,000 sq.ft. facility at
    2610 South Old Decker Road in the Vincennes Industrial Park.
